The Senate must reject Jeff Sessions' nomination for Attorney General. Thirty years ago, the Senate Judiciary Committee blocked Sessions from being appointed to a U.S. District Court due to racist remarks uncovered in his confirmation hearings. Given his history of racism Sessions should be equally unacceptable as a nominee for Attorney General today.
Furthermore, Sessions is today most notable for being the first member of the Senate to endorse Donald Trump—another sign of Trump prioritizing loyalty above all else in building his administration, which could create a dangerous situation given Trump's history of erratic and vindictive behavior behavior.
